Computing - NCEA Level 1
This is the first year of a 3-year course. Students will have the opportunity to study for:
• The National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (BAC) at Levels 2
• The National Certificate in Computing (NCC) at Levels 2 – which may be used towards University Entrance
• Credits towards NCEA Levels 1 and possibly Level 2
• Employment Skills
Course Entry:
• A successful year at Year 10 ICT and the recommendation of the Year 10 ICT teacher
• Successful completion of the COM102 course and the recommendation of the COM 102 teacher
• In exceptional cases, the agreement of the HOF ICT
This course offers Achievement Standards in the Digital Technologies at NCEA Level 1. If time permits, Level 2 and 3 Unit Standards in Text and Information Management will be available.
