Japanese - Year 10

Students will build on their Year 9 work to become more expressive and confident in Japanese.

This course will cover the following topics:
• Describing yourself, your family and other people
• Describing a daily routine
• School life
• Shopping
• Leisure and holidays
• Weather
• Health

By the end of the course students will be able to:
• listen to and read short texts, identifying the key details
• apply their knowledge of vocabulary and structures to speaking and writing in everyday situations
• use Hiranga, Katakana and some Kanji script as appropriate
• demonstrate an understanding of Japanese life and culture.

This subject leads on to:  NCEA Level One Japanese in Year 11
